To commemorate the 80th anniversary of the sofa, House of Finn Juhl is launching an exclusive nubuck and suede edition with legs made from the wood type Wenge. The Poet sofa will, as usual, be produced and upholstered by hand in Denmark

Only 80 unique anniversary editions will be made, and each sofa will be numbered in elegant embroidery underneath the seat.

'Duet' from Sørensen Leather is crafted from double-sided and polished aniline leather, made from carefully selected European rawhides. While nubuck is famous for its matt effect and soft surface, suede possesses a downplayed elegance and characteristic structure.

Suede is untreated, while nubuck is Scotch guard protected during the tanning process. This makes the leather partially water and dirt repellant. Both surfaces will develop patina over time, as they become smoother, shinier and lighter in color.

The Poet Sofa first saw the light of day at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers’ Guild Exhibition in 1941 and was originally designed for Finn Juhl’s own home. Drawing inspiration from surrealist art, the small two-seater sofa embodies comfort, craftsmanship, and respect for the materials used. The sofa is hand-upholstered in Denmark and is available in a variety of textiles and leathers.

The Designer Favourite!

The Multi-Lite was first drawn in 1972 when Louis Weisdorf did an exception to his own design custom of using multiple repeating elements. Instead it reflects his passion for diversity. The Multi-Lite pendant has two individual rotating shades and can be transformed into multiple combinations where the light can be directed upwards, downwards or exude an assymetrical art light. The lamp is available in different colors and all the shades are white lacquered inside.
