Tangent Table Round
Design by Anne Boysen, 2025
The Tangent Table is created for dk3 by Danish architect and designer Anne Boysen. Inspired by organic forms and sculptural geometry, she has created a modern dining table that combines aesthetics and function in perfect harmony.
The table comes in a rectangular and a round version, each interpreting the distinct and original design characterized by its asymmetrical tabletop and unique base.
The design idea for the Tangent Table Round began with Anne Boysen’s wish to create a table, where everyone around the table can participate equally in the gathering. Other round tables with extension leaves can create too much distance, but the Tangent Table Round is made with closeness and socialization in mind.
The shape of the solid wood tabletop is based on six tangential arcs that melt smoothly together, creating a sculptural, asymmetrical entity. It features an elegantly curved edge that gives the piece a light, almost floating quality. The base is made of two contrasting elements. A gently curved disc and a sturdy volume. Both crafted from solid wood and softly rounded at the foot. Together, they form a visual tension that shifts character depending on the viewer’s angle - just like a sculpture.
The Tangent Table Round is extendable with up to two extension leaves. When extended, the table changes character and grows in function, without losing its light and harmonious feeling. The extension system is integrated into the design with an apron that conceals the fittings and completes the table’s flowing lines.
With its organic, asymmetrical shape and clean geometry, the Tangent Table breaks away from convention without compromising on comfort or capacity.

The Designer Favourite!
The Multi-Lite was first drawn in 1972 when Louis Weisdorf did an exception to his own design custom of using multiple repeating elements. Instead it reflects his passion for diversity. The Multi-Lite pendant has two individual rotating shades and can be transformed into multiple combinations where the light can be directed upwards, downwards or exude an assymetrical art light. The lamp is available in different colors and all the shades are white lacquered inside.
